Get To Know Us
Join us this summer for our 35th season of Montana Music Institute! A Montana tradition, MMI provides students ages four and older an opportunity to explore their creativity and expand their musical horizons, while learning new skills, gaining confidence, and making new friends. Our week-long camp offers specialized instruction from outstanding regional faculty in strings, piano, ukulele, guitar, harp, voice and choir, musical theatre, drumming, theory, chess, and more. No previous experience needed, although seasoned musicians will appreciate the advanced classes and opportunities to play in ensembles.
Our mission is to inspire youth to explore their creativity and enhance their knowledge through immersion in the universal language of music. Music instructors from across the region teach classes to young students from the beginner level to the more advanced. Our faculty provide engaging introductions to musical instruments to help assess a child’s preference for violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, voice, ukulele, drumming, and more. To enhance the musical offerings, we offer classes in chess, yoga, and musical theater. From early Monday to late Friday, students learn new skills, gain confidence, and create lasting friendships.
